Skater/Parent Commitment Form and Code of Behavior
1. Represent the Calalta Community Figure Skating Club in a respectful
and professional manner.
2. To strive to create and maintain cooperative relationships with
skaters/parents and coaching colleagues for the purpose of ensuring
a positive skating environment.
3. Non-Payment of Club fees will result in withdrawal of skating
privileges.
4. No food, gum, candy or glass containers are permitted
on the ice surface. Alcohol/drugs are forbidden at all club activities.
Abuse of this will result in expulsion.
5. Pushing, tripping, horseplay, intentional interference with other
skaters or profanity may result in expulsion of the offending skater.
Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children.
6. Everyone MUST leave the ice during a flood, and promptly at the
end of each session.
7. All CCFSC skaters and guests are expected to dress and behave in
an appropriate manner that reflects good taste, and good moral attitude.
8. Inappropriate and disrespectful behavior by Skaters and/or Parents to
Coaches, Club officials or Skating School Employees can result in
temporary or permanent suspension from CCFSC.
9. Skaters, Coaches and or Parents are not to loiter in the music room.
The music room is a working space for the rink chairpersons please
respect both the space and club employees.
10. Videotaping or photographing of skaters during practices, competitions,
performances and simulations is allowed if used for promotional purposes.
11. There is no bullying, victimizing, harassing (sexual or otherwise),
impersonating, vandalizing or stealing from another skater. Disciplinary
actions may include suspension or expulsion.
12. All skaters are to display good sportsmanship and encourage all
skaters' enjoyment of skating.
13. All Skaters are responsible for keeping the dressing rooms clean
and tidy. The skaters are responsible for putting away their own personal
items and throwing away any garbage. Skaters are also expected to use
his/her respective dressing rooms.
14. Direct any concerns in writing to the Board of Directors.
Ice Rules & Etiquette:

Soloists have the right of way but all skaters need to be aware
of their surroundings and respect everyone on the ice

Coaches doing choreography also have the right of way if they
are using music

Exit the jumping zone towards the end of the arena

Spin in the spinning zone only
-
When skating away from the boards, pay attention to oncoming
skaters
-
Keep conversations to a minimum-if there is a need to talk,
move to the side of the rink
-
No profanity or disrespect to fellow skaters, coaches, rink
chairpersons will not be tolerated

Skaters are to use his/her respective dressing room
-
No loitering in the music room
-
Coaches please stay to the side of the Ice during lessons unless
demonstrating or aiding your skaters

The Skating Director, Board of Directors and rink chairperson
have the authority to enforce the rules

All Canskaters must wear a helmet
-
Parents are not allowed in players boxes or penalty boxes

Parents are not allowed past double doors to dressing rooms in
Jimmie Condon Arena during session times. Allowed to put skaters
skates on prior to start of session and after session

No talking to skaters during session
-
Skaters are not allowed to leave the ice til the session is
completed

The Skating Director, Board of Directors and rink chairperson
have the authority to enforce the rules

The Calalta Figure Skating Club, City of Calgary and/or their agents, assume no
responsibility for accidents injuries however caused and the applicant agrees
to release the proprietors from all claims or damages arising as a result of
such accidents or losses.
